The video is like "he knows if he fails, 7 billion people will die, and that is more important than the people in Metropolis". He seems singularly focused, almost supernaturally detached from all the death.
MOTHER IN SKYSCRAPER MOVIE MOVIE
People I know can tell you that you don't have to be that close for a falling skyscraper to have an impact, and you can't expect people watching a movie to catch those types of fleeting details in order to "make sense" of what they're seeing.Īnd the "Clark is a novice" argument seems strange to me.

And pausing each frame to draw an arrow at a blurry corner of the screen and say "look, no people" means nothing. As someone that deals with local law work in the city, a single broken piece of terracotta can be fatal, let alone an entire curtain wall falling to the sidewalk below.

And this response video is GROSSLY misrepresenting the danger everyone is in. The movie just doesn't show anything that suggests Clark gets what is happening. He just looks at Zod like "give me a break" and lets Zod punch him. There's no urgency to stop Zod or strike first, indicating that Clark understands the gravity of the situation. He's literally standing in a massive clearing SURROUNDED by demolished skyscrapers as Zod promises to make every human life suffer and Clark has the most smug disinterested look on his face the entire time. There is no indication that he can hear the screams of the people calling for help, suffocating under rubble, falling from the 67th floor of their building, nothing to show that he's distracted by the absolute mayhem he's been thrust into. There is no calculation that Clark makes in the movie about 7 billion lives vs citizens of Metropolis. The movie simply does not portray anything of what anyone is saying to defend it. Breakdown of Zod fightI'm sorry but this video hilariously fails at addressing the issue.
